Lupins, lupins lup-ins!
Well, as you know, this all started because my mums friend gave me a challenge to make lupin bliss balls. But, why? Why are we talking about lupins?
If you want to go back to the very start, I suggest you read this article, Is lupin the new superfood?
Otherwise, I’ll give you the basic run down: lupins aren’t the new superfood – they’ve always been a superfood. We just don’t know about them, so we don’t eat them. And frankly, when I was first given the product, I was a bit dubious. I had no idea how to use them. I tried once and my meal just tasted like lupins, so I didn’t bother again. Wrong attitude! Now that I have started using lupins, I can’t seem to stop.
They’re a legume, just like a soy bean or peanut. But now, I’ve got them in the pantry as staples – lupin flour, lupin kibble, lupin semolina, lupin crumb.
